How to Add Annotations to Your YouTube Videos

From there, you can add different types of annotations with different calls-to-action. You might want to link to another video, a playlist, a channel, or include a call-to-action to subscribe to your own channel, like this one:

You can control the message, the font size and color, where the annotation appears, and even how long it should appear on screen.

When you've got that set you can choose whether you want to turn it into a link or just keep it as a message.

One cool way in which you could use this feature is if one of your videos has out of date information. If commenters are complaining that your how-to video no longer works, just create a new, updated version of that video and create a link from the old, outdated video to the new one.

You'll still keep all your inbound links for the original video, but funnel them to the new, improved video.

Keep in mind that if you're creating How-To videos about Facebook, you may need to use this trick weekly.

The menu under and on the right of the video isn't appearing for me, in the top left hand corner I am getting a black box..
Any ideas?
