I thank Drake, the diss made me come and listen to the entire Kendrick Lamar album.

This man is not a rapper he is God-sent

I almost woke my kids up out of bed to apologize to them when I first heard this last night. Especially my sons. Even with making a conscious effort to not be like my father, I passed on way more of the trauma he gave me than I ever even realized...

"My niggas ain't got no daddy grow up overcompensatin, learn shit bout bein a man and disguise it as bein gangsta" that line took me back to how I was growing up

I love that line of "I got daddy issues, that's on me" because it represents how boys are conditioned to take responsibility for everything, even things that aren't their fault.

This song made me realize i had a lot more repressed trauma from my dad than i realized. i think i need therapy too. i love my dad and i know he did his best for me, but “everything he didn’t want, was everything i was”

I am not from America, I am not black. English is my second language. I have different heritage and grew up differently in another part of the world.

This song really makes me think a lot about my late father. I was brought up the way that Kendrick was. We hid our emotions and learnt how to be callous and cold. It helped me a lot to be competitive and survive. But I also hurt someone lately that I love because I wasn't in touch with my emotions.

I talked to a lot of my friends and found out that this way bringing up children while training them to neglect emotions is everywhere. Doesn't matter where you from and what your skin color is.

Thank you Kendrick for letting me see this problem in myself and everyone around me. I am helping to end this generational curse.

"To my partners that figured it out without a father" Made me tear up.

"Cause everything he didn't want, is what I was." Wrecked me so good. Thought nobody else felt that way towards their father.

The STUPIDIEST thing, the BIGGEST L that Drake took was sending people back to appreciate this album. That's not even a dig, that was not a calculated move

“Daddy issues made me learn losses, I don’t take those well.” 💯 no doubt the best song in this album

"Man should never show feelings, being sensitive never helped". Damn, almost every guy felt this

I just broke in tears with this song.

I am the son of a soldier. An hour ago, I just spoke about this with my psychologist. I have been taught to suppress my feelings, not to be a bitch. To focus, fight, disconnect, and move on. As Kendrick says, it makes you incredibly competitive. I've reached the goals I wanted to achieve. But at what price?

Apathy takes over you as the bag, full of compressed emotions, has no room for more.

I am tired. I won't pretend I have no right to feel anymore.

Thank you K.L
