AWS re:Invent 2019 Launchpad | NASA JPL Rover Challenge

The exploration of space continues to occur at a rapid pace, and we want developers to use their skills to improve how rovers on Mars help unlock the secrets of the universe. We are launching an online challenge, where contestants will use machine learning to autonomously operate the virtual Open Source Rover created by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to explore the surface of Mars.

Contestants will use AWS RoboMaker for the simulation and Amazon SageMaker to build and train their machine learning model. Prizes: GRAND PRIZE $15,000 cash prize, SECOND PLACE $5,000 cash prize.
