FNIRSI DSO-TC3 Component Tester Review

I review this 3 in 1 tester, it is a component tester, oscilloscope and signal generator, all in a portable package.

If you have the input set to DC coupling do you get better low frequency response? The LF response on AC is limited by the input capacitor

A very thorough review. It still doesn't beat the Atlas for component testing but you get what you pay for. Thanks for taking the time to produce the video. 🍻

You should buy the oscilloscope probes for using oscilloscope test.

@10:23 Vpp on the disp says 0.78V, which is 0.275Vrms, so 0.28V on the disp isn't bad. But if you were inputting 1.0Vrms then the displayed 0.78V is miles of also. Worth sanity checking on another scope.

Your scope is in AC coupled mode ?
The input seems to have RC decay, so low freq Sq wave/pulse is losing shape

Perhaps match up the generator output impedance with a load of equal impedance. May make for a better signal?

If buy the DSO-TC3 (advanced)model you get the mcx to bnc adapter and a bnc probe.

They would really have something if the transistor testing function included a curve tracer, which wouldn't take that much to add today. The problem is, I think, adding a curve tracer function would hurt the sales of stand-alone tracers, which are a rarity in many shops, but very handy to have.

Generally available either with or without a x1 x10 Banggood cheaped out on you!

I'm into the audio domain so my UNI-T UTGI'm into the audio domain so my UNI-T UTG932E is way overkill. For Oscilloscope I just use my external audio device and some software

I was going to buy one of the LCR-TC2 type testers. This would be about 35$ more for one of those mini oscilloscopes. What if anything would the mini scope be used to see?

Voltage measurements might be off as you are not 50 ohms terminated on either scope. Using the wires might be picking up noise from your room like 50Hz AC; could that be the jitter?

Thanks for the review.
I am looking for a small decent oscilloscope to test sensors on cars, such as cranshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, oxygen sensor etc etc.
Is this good enough to do that do you think ?

Thanks

I am not crazy about these cheap tools because inside them they offer little to no protection for test equipment. But for the price they do serve a purpose, plus this little meter must have a fairly impressive CPU/MPU inside, the scrolling on there was surprisingly smooth. pretty cool!

Nice review, regarding audio it's rubbish in rubbish out have you any idea what the noise specs are on the sine output please ?....cheers.

Want to ask can test measuring smd component??

I got one of these the other day just as a handy tester after watching IMSAI GUY's review & it fits the bill as far as I have been able to see.
However, I'm surprised that Banggood didn't send you the "Advanced" version for review. It's the same thing plus a "standard" 100Mhz scope probe & an MCX to BNC adapter. It only cost about 2 quid more & is more or less essential.
BTW I was also surprised by your square wave results, but ended up shouting at the screen when I noticed the AC coupling :~)

Finsri DSO tc3 showing different RDS ON value.
I couldn't understand . I calibration 3 times
I used 5N65 mos RDS on according to datasheet 2.5 ohms meter shows approximately 0.5 ohms.
What must be the problem

That was great! What fun. You know when you said you pulled those transistors from decades ago and pluggged them in and viola..test fine. But the capacitors are always crap. Inductors are fine, usually.
But capacitors. We need a moon launch program to learn to make capacitors that don't crap out! Get to work on this. Shoot us a nice review of electrolytics and what kills them! It's the only component I don't trust and always the component that reliably dies.

Which firmware version does your one run?
My one is V0.3, there are many bugs and in Oscilloscope mode it's always Vrms=Vavg (not the only one bug).
