I’m an abstract painter but have always been interested in graffiti art. I have the opportunity to do a graffiti piece inside an old industrial building and I’m nervous!! This video really helped

Things that they don't tell you:
1. your caps falling into a canal or falling into tall grass and you not being able to find it
2. forgetting to bring water to thin out latex fill pieces
3. adrenaline making your hands super shaky and unstable, like ik i shouldnt be that scared anymore but why are my hands trembling
4. forgetting to put "2023" or something next to your piece
5. bad can control
6. your pants being messed up with paint (wear cheap pants)
7. forgetting to bring gloves
8. "can stuttering" (ask your local experienced writer for this)
9. when you bomb somewhere far away and you get really really lost and dk how to get home
New edits:
10. Heroes trying to stop you (the best way to deescalate is to confuse them by giving them stickers with a smile and friendly "hi!"
11. Young street kids being amazed at the art (ask them if they wanna tag)
12. Clogging caps especially on low quality paint, make sure to shake a lot and strike the sides of the can with your palm
13. Stepping on poop
14. When you're on a bike and stop to do a throwie, set your gear to something low like 4 or 3 before you park so you can quickly accelerate and bike away if you get stopped
15. Angry bald gang members
16. Bring water and lunch! Best is bread with spam or an egg sandwich.
17. Give me more suggestions

Blackbooks sometimes create a "pressure" to artists, some people never even dare to draw something onto their first page, because they consider it as a title page. Just give a shit about the quality in what you do and draw what YOU like and want to try and fill it up. Have fun, it is just a sketchbook after all. If you like something to show off, create a blackfolder to put in your burners. But be careful with your sketches, if you paint illegally, the police will take them and use it as evidence.

Black outline white fill. Focus on your letter structure before you start adding colours

I admire the things you take for granted, like the evenness and consistency of your spraying flow. No crooked or inconsistent lines, just beautiful precision that only comes from experience. Great video friend! I appreciate your talent. Thank you. I’m taking my Son out tomorrow night so he can do his first piece. 😊👍🏼

I’m a complete beginner to graffiti, and this video really motivated me to put more effort into it. Thanks!

Simple letters are also great to understand typography and the interaction and connection of single pieces of letters. Understanding that helped me a lot to see why letters look good or bad.

I'm really looking forward to more tutorials! You can never learn enough!

I'm no artist, neither have I ever sprayed in my life, nor am I able to draw or paint anything more than a simple stickman, but watching graffiti artists like you at their craft is extremely satisfying!

The fact something that good can be done freehand is insane.

I assumed it was all stencil.

Nice tutorial. I used to do graffiti when I was in my teens. I was more of a tagger but did a few chromers and pieces in my time, but I was certainly no expert. I used to love the buzz all the same. I'm too old now to be getting chased by cops 😆 but feeling inspired to get a black book and pens again for therapeutical reasons. Cheers, man. I'll have a look through some more of your videos for tips. 👍
