IGN  and by the way, that isnt a proprietary plug, it is a micro usb 3.0 plug.
 what they did there is that you have a normal micro usb 2.0 plug and they added that little piece on the side, so (unlike what apple did with their "lightning" plugs)  you can still use your old usb 2.0 plugs, but you can also use the new usb 3.0 plugs, which would be much faster!

I bought mine the day after release in Australia, I have not tested the water resistant feature, but everything else the phone does is a big step up from the SG4.

The chargers and the ports are bigger because it's USB 3.0 instead of the usual 2.0.

The cord is actually a USB 3.0, which is why the wall plug is bigger, because it allows for faster charging and data transfer. You can still use a micro USB though, just like the Note 3

I thinking of getting a sony z2 since it has an extra gig of ram (3gigs) 20mp camera, non shitty/laggy ui like samsungs touchwiz, is actually waterproof instead of Samsung's water resistant, and feels like a premium phone with its strong guerilla glass texture, unlike s5 cheap plastic. You can keep this heart beat moniter i can just feel my pulse in my neck
