My fundamental duty is to serve the people of the commonwealth by enforcing the laws related to the unique mission of my agency and those that protect public safety and public and private property. In my chosen profession of law enforcement, I will in always strive to protect the weak against oppression, the innocent against deception, and the peaceful against violence and disorder. I will in all actions respect the constitutional rights of all persons to liberty, equality, and justice. I will keep my private life unsullied as an example to all; maintain calm in the face of danger, scorn, or ridicule; demonstrate self-restraint and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others. Honest and thought and deed in my personal and official life, I will be exemplary in obeying the laws and the regulations of the United States the commonwealth, and my agency. I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear, favor or malice or ill will. I will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, animosities, or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals I recognize the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I wear it. Recognizing these responsibilities that are incumbent upon me as a conservation police officer, I will constantly strive to meet these responsibilities dedicating myself before you to this my chosen profession and the commonwealth.
