just saw this movie with a friend and it was a difficult watch but also beautiful at times, i loved the way it puts a spotlight on the shared humanity and the good people who find themselves in these situations where despite their own suffering they help others

Matteo Garrone, director of 'Gomorrah', 'A Tale of Tales' and 'Pinocchio' won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival for 'Io Capitano'. In Madrid the film was presented at the 16th Italian Film Festival last November and the director was awarded in recognition of his almost thirty years of career.
