Absolutely sick of the BBC cutting off the end of the Live daily briefing just so they can show the weather.

No condolences today to the families, friends and loved ones of those who who’ve died. Did he just forget? Are we moving on without thoughts and prayers now? I hope not. The mortality figures for the UK are terrible. Heartbreaking.

sick of the sun and the telegraph not showing slides during live transmissions so it's better to watch it here 👍

I hope someone at number 10 reads these comments. Please could the government provide us with up to date reliable data about the actual R rate in all regions (specific towns would be extremely useful but if it has to just be counties so be it). As we try to come to terms with lockdown easing, & especially for the vulnerable groups who are not Shielding but have to be especially careful, actually knowing the R rate of where we live would help us to plan our activities in the safest way. Without knowing the R rate of where you live it is impossible to do proper personal risk assessments. As a vulnerable person I need to know if the R rate where I live is only just under 1 because if that is the case I won’t meet outside with a person not from my household just yet. I would consider it too high a risk. If the R is 0.5 where I live I would feel safer to access this part of the lockdown easing. We need reliable data not media hype so please as our government help us by providing this information.

Also please could the different strains of the virus in the UK be explained. Is there any difference in the severity of these different strains? Viruses always mutate. How will you be sure that a “second wave” in a particular region isn’t just a mutated version of the virus so actually a “first wave” of that version?
Last time I found information about the many versions of the virus in the U.K. there were 12 different versions here, one of which had only been found in the UK & no other countries so that one is a version that resulted from a mutation in the virus that has only occurred in the U.K.
WHO don’t discuss the many different versions of the virus that are appearing/infecting different regions of the World either. Why aren’t we being told about the different strains of Covid 19? Are some of them more deadly than others? Like the version in Washington USA appears to be much less deadly than the different strain suffered by New York!
