That's crazy. Nobody even plays that song anymore. Serves him right for being the king sampler.

Damn, Diddy is really rich like that? That's 150, 000 a month and the song came out in 97,

These are some of the reasons why Song/ATV wanted to buy the other half of the Publishing that belonged to Michael Jackson. It was rumored that M.J was also earning above *$100K* per day from the music catalog he owned. And he didn't wanna sell any of the publishing he owned. That was too much power for one man. That's why they tried to destroy his Legacy. 💯

Diddy paid 47 million since the release of the track back in 96/97.

The strange thing is the person who actually wrote the guitar riff and whose playing can be heard on the track, Andy Summers recieves no credit whatsoever.

Of course he can afford it. The Notorious BIG compositions have made so much money he can more than afford.

Sting is a gangster. Man just sat there and casually spoke about the money he's making without having to lift a finger like he doesn't give a shit about it.

Reveals love to Sting by paying him 5k day?

I probably don't think it's out of choice and "showing love"

He offered a daily kiss instead but Sting denied

Sting clearly said that P Diddy got permission after the fact. The wise thing form P. Diddy to have done was to get permission before the release of the song, before it became a big record. He could've gotten away with a statutory royalty rate of somewhere between $.05 cents and $.07 cents and be done. Of course that would have accrued over the years to still being a nice check for Sting, but not nearly as much as he's having to pay out now.
