uggghhh so frustrating...I'm American and fell in love with SLapshock's music after I first discovered them about 4 or 5 years ago. was in love with that band and OMG losing Jamir STILL almost just doesn't seem right. Altho I love ALL of Slapshock's songs bur for me personally I think all of their songs in Tagalog are BY FAR their strongest and best songs they ever wrote....and ironically I connect with those songs the most....I speak english only and my knowledge of Tagalog is minimal and I'm so so far from being anywhere close to fluent(in understanding) but white boy here can sing all of their Tagalog songs words for word lol initially I was always clueless of it's meaning until i had some of my awesome pinay facebook friends translate the lyrics for me hehe but SADLY almost NONE of the interview videos of this type have any captions/sub titles :( I wish I could understand these people so much cause I've grown to love a few pinoy bands such as SLAPSHOCK, Saydie, and Even. Also I heard the new song Heneral by Chelsea Alley and I thought it was DOPE!! really liked it!! the boys have found themselves teamed up with another good vocalist it seems....BUT he's nowhere close to Jamir's level in my book. I never knew or met the man or the band but SS quickly became one of my favorites and a band very close to my heart. My heart is still aching for such a huge lose. Jamir is dearly missed. Wishing the best for the remaining members of Slapshock and also to the entire Garcia family, friends, and to ALL OF THE PHILIPPINES!! A great treasure has been lost, but will never be forgotten.
