My heart goes out for this man. They have taken 20 yrs from an innocent man. The people who wrongfully accused him should go through what he did. He can't get those years back!! Shame on I am so happy for you and now you need to get

Joey is a lovely, humble man and his attorneys deserve more than a feather in their cap. A story we all need to see in these days of too much wrong.

Who exposed the juror misconduct? That's scariest part of this whole thing; one juror (not trained in investigating) doing a pseudo-investigation, appearing credible and convincing other jurors.

This makes me so angry. All most prosecutors care about is winning a case they don’t care about innocent or guilty.

The states attorney needs to be disbarred and prosecuted for civil rights violation.

I am so sorry for all that was taken from you; your family and friends, your years of freedom, a fair trial. Blessings to those who came through for you.

So sorry for you! I hope you enjoy the rest of your life being free! Sue the hell out of them. So you never have to worry about paying your bills for the next 25 years. You deserve it.
Good Luck and enjoy your life! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Who knows how many wrongfully convincted people are still in the American prison's. And who knows how many innocent people were executed in America. They need to abolish the death penalty, one innocent victim is to many.

This is why, no matter what the “evidence”, the death penalty should be abolished. We can’t risk innocent people being executed when 4-6% of incarcerated people are innocent. It isn’t worth the risk to kill someone. I can’t imagine spending 20 years to life or until the day of my death when I was innocent. I couldn’t even condemn someone innocent to death just because someone else hurt or killed someone I cared for.

EVERY WRONGFULLY CONVICTED individual should AUTOMATICALLY get 1 MILLION PER YEAR imprisoned. That is someone's FREEDOM - TIME they will NEVER GET BACK!

How horrible!! My heart breaks for this man, to have lost 20 years for something that he didn't do. Thank God for modern technology and this man's freedom!!! May he have many happy years ahead!!

It's so sad to see a innocent man be lock over something so simple that could have solve his case right away glad technology has improved . Just think how many more are behind bars for misinformation 20 years ago . When someone is innocent they won't stop fighting to be heard . So glad he didn't give up. Congratulations 🎉
