I usually play as small island nations and city-states. One time, I remember that I managed to defend the country I was playing (Tonga) from Indonesia, playing as city-states and small island nations is very entertaining

I liked playing as a Balkan state, more specifically Romania since its quite easily defendable because of the carpathians and overall a fun time

I usually like playing small nations, trying to make a formable and then expanding from there. Also I once played as Papua New Guinea and conquered basically the entire Pacific Ocean and it was oddly satisfying. I don’t really have a favorite country to play with, but I do like to sometimes play as a relatively small country or a European powerhouse like Spain, expand as much as possible without pissing someone off and then fortifying and/or go colonizing the world!

I always play as one of the koreas, japan, mongolia and vietnam because i usually fight the superpowers at the same time china usa russia and india which is pretty fun knowing that they rarely know what they're doing

I don't really have a main country but I play USA and protect small countries like the Baltic states for example, I have a strategy for being very agro and op usa as well (take everyone's tungsten and spam consumers)
