Achieving Academic Excellence : Adam Kuban

Dr. Adam Kuban, an assistant professor of journalism and a faculty member in the Honors College, focuses his teaching on media projects based on science- or sports-related issues.

“These projects allow students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills,” says Kuban. “I want them to be able to think on a deeper level.”

He wants students to identify a complex problem and work with local community partners like nonprofits in an attempt to solve that problem. It is a great opportunity for students to learn from Ball State professors and become better citizens in the long run, he says.
