Austria to enter full lockdown, mandates COVID-19 vaccines

Austria will enter a full nation-wide lockdown on Monday to stem a record surge in COVID-19 case numbers.

As part of battle against the virus, Austria will also become the first country in Europe to make COVID vaccines mandatory by law.

The lockdown is expected to last for a maximum of 20 days.
