Southeastern Class 375 | How does it compare to SE High Speed?

Показать описание
For this train trip report, we travelled on Southeastern, from London Victoria to Swanley. The train used is a Class 375 EMU, built by AdTranz (was Bombardier 2001-2021 now Alstom). The trains are part of the Electrostar family, and are part of the old generation, with comfier seats. They are very similar to the Class 377s operated by Southern and SE.
Our journey starts at London Victoria, with our first stop at Denmark Hill. Ordinarily this journey would either go via the Catford Loop to Bromley South, or down the Chatham Mainline to Bromley South, without calling at Denmark Hill. This time however, we took the line down to Lewisham then ran down the SEML down to Chislehurst, which is when we use the limited use curve to link the Southeastern Mainline to the Chatham Mainline. We then call at St Mary Cray, and finally Swanley.
As this journey was within the Oyster/Contactless zones, and we have u16 Oyster cards, we got this journey for 85p, but if you are buying a walk-up fare, expect to pay £11.30, which is pretty expensive. Would always recommend using Oyster/Contactless if you can.
