Honestly, I want to make more enemies. They're fun to sprite. Just sprite a whole bunch of inconsequential things that fill the world up, usefulness be damned.

Dev of wisplantern here, was really surprised and excited to see the modshowcased here lol.

Just to clarify on a few things, Wisplantern does add those 2 different cave minibiomes you saw (the lush caves and the "volcanic" caves), both of which are kinda WIP (we're also planning on adding even more but that's probably for after the current ones are more fleshed out), and it also adds a few new cave shapes/terrain like the really large sort of pit you found near spawn, the massive mountain which reaches up to space or close to space no matter what size world you're on and also has a lot of ore, and also some misc cave shapes like wave caves and large caves. The other notable addition is just extra chest loot.

The Remnants mod leaves a large open area under the sea on the dungeon side of world gen for Calamity's Abyss biome to spawn without compatibility issues. If you haven't played with those two installed together, it is a must play.

its really wonderful how people works with terraria world generation to make amazing stuff like that, gonna give it a try!
idk if its me but i also noticed that the deep sea biome of thorium is not generating (i think due to remants's generation at the side of seas) so maybe thorium could be making some conflict if you care about that biome.
