Today (11-11-2021) I got a brand new 2021 SR605E and I'm smitten. This bass is sweet, snarly, punchy, multi-dimensional, and as cozy as they come. The Nordstrand Big Break pickups are incredible. The custom onboard EQ is brilliant. The factory setup from Ibanez was amazingly perfect; I didn't have to adjust anything. This is my 3rd Ibanez bass in 30 years and yes, they just keep getting better.

The instrument looks great, but something I will never understand is why they never play the B string when demoing a 5 string bass

So impressed with these pickups and what Ibanez has done. I get such great definition, but with wonderful character. It's a grunty-growly thing, and virtually NO NOISE! Feels great too! The best bass I own.

I have the 4 string SR600e. Those Nordstrand pups are really powerful. Maybe too much for me. I am a first time Ibanez owner, after playing only Fender for years. I have taken the active battery out. Running a sweet set of flats I now obtain a very decent deep mellow tone. My active switch is now a mute, which i love. I have to back off the volume and tone as well. This bass will take some getting use to for sure. The quality was there right from the first day. Very decent factory set up. Its my first active.

very much looks like the SR655E i played last year, with a very nice sound. i will give it a try in the musicstore once they reopen it. at least the bass comes with metals knobs again

This $800 bass sounds light-years better than my $1250 Ibanez EHB1005MS. When is the US release date? And by how much can the string spacing be changed? Also 1.5mm?

Why do bass demos have slap and twiddling about on the top strings?

i saw theres a pink gold 4 string bass coming out like my rose gold art core i just got wish there was a 5 string version love the new sparkle pink guitar wish there was more sparkle type options also

Usually prefer the Barts to the nords but that is a pretty fat slap tone.
