750k in student debt for one person is the worst I have ever heard.

The amount of second hand stress Dave feels for the callers 😂

It shouldn’t even be possible to take out that much in student loans, completely insane

Suddenly I feel great about my $12K debt.

750k in student loans is absolutely ridiculous... Do people even realize how long they're gonna have to work to pay it off and be a slave to the system?

As a retiring dentist, it is so sad to hear things like this happening. I don't think dental school are equipping young dentist to be out there working competently right out of school either. There are no good or bad dental schools, just accredited schools. The real tragedy is seeing how nonchalant the students feel about the debt (slavery) they are getting into..

Dentist here. Out of school dental/medical school is absolutely egregious. My in state dental tuition is $225k; anywhere out of state is $750k. I get it; if you're an undergrad and you only get accepted to an out-of-state dental school, you really want to take it. But I actually would say it's wiser to decline and try again for your in-state school. That extra $500k+ in tuition for out of state is extremely debilitating.

I could never marry someone with this much debt. It's literally a life sentence 😳

No degree is worth three quarters of a million dollars. I'd really like to know what exactly is going through the mind of someone signing on that line to attach themselves to that kind of debt

I wasn't sure Dave was gonna make it through this one. I thought we lost him there for a minute.

750k to start a job. At what point does the money you make not matter. Your paying.. to begin working for the rest of you life. Your not paying for a property that you get to enjoy. Your literally paying to get on the rat wheel. Feel sorry for these two.

The thumbnail is spot on. Dave lowering his head for that long says the magnitude of the debt.

Let’s be honest, no dental graduate is going to want to live on nothing for 5-6 years and try to pay this off quick. They pursued this profession for the prestige and lifestyle. Graduating and feeling accomplished followed by living like you work at McDonald’s NEVER happens. They’re stuck.

I know a guy who became a brain surgeon with $250k in debt and that's steep, but his yearly pay will eat that way in a few years. I didn't even know you could borrow $750k for a degree, that's insane!

I would be flipping out over being 40k in debt. 750k is just insane.
