Turbo (08-2010) was the fastest production FWD car until the Honda civic type R came out 😉, could make a fuck load of power reliably and cheaply. Also slept on cars are the 2.2 and 2.4 turbo or supercharged swaps, those 2.2 are bullet proof. Wanted to turbo my 2.2 but went with a 5.0 foxbody

Man had a buddy who owned one of these in black it made 542 whp with a bone stock engine stock internals and all had upgraded turbo and fuel system and a tune plus exhaust he ran the stock wheels most of the time with drag radials and a set of bead locks and slicks for the track it was a mustangs worst nightmare its on youtube somewhere racing everything doing roll races i think its bad bowtie YouTube channel it won anout 50% of the time but hes racing cars with considerably more power it was quite cool and looked like it was bone stock

Turning my lt into an ss lol not too many upgrades currently cuz I ran into some financial problems but even then it's pretty quick.. Can't wait until I'm able to throw the supercharger in and get it tuned up properly, things gonna be twice as fun as it already is 😂

Love my 08 ss turbo. Everyone pulls on side of me thinking it’s sweet. They always get more than the bargained for. Like the type r in the highway yesterday.😂

It even a sleeper thang looks MEAN I got 09 red tri coat 4dr, and she’s my baby may not be a ss but she rly wants to be my muffler(s) fell off 3 times while driving😬 she PURS tho that 2.2 is a real gem to have I’ve never had any issues and nether has my mother who’s owned it from 78km to 112k then I took over and she’s sitting at 140 rn I have some sensors that need to be replaced but other then that she’s fine, stock struts are horrible tho save your money and get a better pair for just a slightly bigger price, she ain’t the fastest but she will run down anything it has amazing cooling never once had to watch my temp and I’ve long a lot of late night/early morning travelling on the tch, got that lil ecotec thinking it’s a generator🤣 she loves it, amazing car to drive kinda what you’d imagine a Mini Cooper real small and nimble

People don’t realize how good the LSJ is with a turbo swap. ZZP sells the entry level kit for the LSJ, also comes with the updated 1.0 pcm

I drove the supercharged version for years, but I will tell you if you find ones of these things today just know they have been used and abused. I retired mine and got a GR 86 2023 and as fun as the Cobalt was the new GR86/BRZ is far superior and affordable. Plus it is naturally aspired and RWD. Worst thing about these Cobalts is the FWD. Wheel hop is horrible and you lose a lot of your performance with heavy mods to reduce it.
