As a native French speaker myself what I can understand from the video drama is that they were probably all going to give five or $10 each in order to buy meat for everyone and they were telling him that if he had five or $10 to contribute it would be very helpful since he was training with them and they were all gonna get something to eat and they were also telling him that if he doesn’t have money it’s OK because they can give him money.
