My driver Jake had one airborne after hitting a berm in 29 palms. He yelled “hold on to your helmet corporal” as he hit it. I thought we were going to land hard. Nope, the suspension on that thing is took all the tonnage softer than if we landed in water.
I like the new way they get them onboard, no more threading the needle in high seas.

As a former raft guide...Please tell your Marines to hold their paddles correctly, from the top of the T, so they don't knock out their teeth or someone else's! ...Seen it happen before, it's a fantastic way to give someone a bad day! The T-Grip is there for a reason...teach them to use it properly...honestly, paddling skills are worthy of learning! ...Or if you want me to show you guys how to do it, be happy to help! I've trained fire fighters, on swift water rescue, paddling skills, and river evacuations.
