Layering and Morphing in Polytone – Reason 13's Flagship Synth

preview_player
Показать описание
Polytone is Reason 13's flagship synth featuring a dual layer design. As well as being quick and easily adjusted on the surface, Polytone's dual layers make it ideal for creating layered synth sounds with a surprising amount of versatility - and, of course, you can layer it up even further with Reason's Combinator! Watch as Adam Fielding demonstrates how these layers can interact with one another, and how Polytone Dual-Layer Synthesize can sound in the context of a complete track.

I just upgraded on August 1st.
Installed it and just wanted to play with it real quick before I left out for work.

And just from me playing around with the 1st patch I loaded … I instantly fell in love with polytone.

All I did was played a simple 1 note melody, switched the morph to about 35 percent A Side, added scales and chords, and was blown away by what came out as I automated the morph.

It’s like having multiple different tones and rhythms and vibes in 1 sound. I could take this simple chord progression in so many different directions.

All that from me just playing around with. I can’t wait until I sit down and actually brainstorm some ideas with it 💯 💪 …. Reason Gang Eternally !!!

Awesome! I really loved how you used the Polytone and Tool Suites devices in your demo song for Reason13. It was very inspiring and helpful!

Polytone layered with Synapse Audio's Antidote RE is my new goto "pop synth". They match so good.

Hello Adam, Good to see You, I was wondering where the rest of the video was after the short the other day, and here it is. Polytone sort of reminds Me of the Korg (or behringer) Monopoly, for many reasons.

Awesome demonstration! Thanks for this! Morph is awesome and is a result of Pelle's genius (also in the clavia nord lead 1) i use morph a lot on the nord ;)

What if I took 2 existing synths . Put them in a combinator and sell it separatly . Awesome ..

I dunno. I have R12 and am holding off on upgrading because of the unexpectedly high cost - even for long-time users like me. What I hear and see in this video doesn't scream 'must have VSTi'. What Polytone does is done by hundreds of other soft synths, and I'm sure that most of them sound better, too. True, I've paid (sometimes overpaid) for a few of my workhorse synths, but the rewards, in terms of functionality and base sound, have made those costs worth while. That's why they're my 'workhorse' synths. Not gonna buy, for now.

Dude, this is basically the only synth I've been usinf since the upgrade

What makes all these synths so different if they can all achieve the same results with modulations and effects? Makes no sense why this is still a selling point.

Im Sorry I refuse to believe that Reson just hasent made any of the Akai MPC'S avalible on the platform. I'm a Regliously Loyal Member of the Reason Community. I love the DAW. I figured that I would buy a MPC because I ams a natural Beatmaker at heart. So needless to say I bought an Akai MPC one +. at the time Reason 12 was the newest version avalible. I knew that Reason 13 would soon be avalible. But to no availe Still No MPC Support. Reason PLEASE and any of my Breatheron that shares my frustration. Reason Propellerhead Please give us support for the MPC's .... Thank You.

Just a note, the combinator is insanely more powerful than this device.
