Fun fact, Scott, his brother was actually in LB before Wes. He played keyboard in early LB days. This was when my friend Rob Waters was still in the band as their guitarist. I’m from Jacksonville and was heavy in the music scene there, even though I have no talent and can not play a single note on any instrument 😂.

As someone who can play sheet music I gotta say it's absolutely not necessary to be a good guitarist. As a matter of fact, a good ear for music is much more important, while sheet music is just a way to transcribe the actual music into a piece of paper. Hendrix couldn't read/play sheet music, did that stop him from being one of the best guitar players who has ever lived? Hell no! Hendrix had talent, he felt the instrument like it was a part of him, and did literal magic with it.
