700-Person Summer Camp Stays COVID-19 Free All Summer

A summer camp in Long Island, New York has managed to remain free of COVID-19 by taking strict health and safety precautions, owners say. Crestwood Country Day Camp has hosted at least 500 campers and 200 staff for the last two months and not one has tested positive for the virus. The kids don't wear masks, but counselors do. Special disinfecting patrols roam the camp, cleaning and mopping as they go. "It's nothing short of a miracle," co-owner Mark Transport told Inside Edition. #InsideEdition

I think it’s honestly just good luck. They’re clearly not socially distanced or wearing masks. Long Island is actually is doing fine right now with Covid cases. If this were in Florida, I bet the story would have totally been different.

I think it's very possible to hear mkre success stories like this if people actually adhered to this level of protection. And they were told they would get fired for risking someone's lives for partying. The consequences were made obvious. I'm an HR Manager. We had to convince people at my job.

Is no one gonna talk about Camp Longhorn when I went they made sure to keep everyone away from other cabins. They gave us buffs for when we ate and had to be around others. And even if they had one case towards the beginning of the year they still did amazing

Amazing what happens when you follow guidelines, cleaning regularly and have strict rules for staff. This could be our schools.
