The cost of a kitchen remodel can vary widely between different projects. Because there is such a slew of variables, we wanted to take some time to explain what influences the cost of kitchen remodels.

We will cover what a basic kitchen remodel costs and what steps you as a homeowner can take to reduce costs.

We will cover what a mid-range, "average" kitchen remodel in an upscale home would cost. This is close to what most homeowners should expect in cost if they have a general contractor complete a full overhaul of their kitchen.

Finally, we cover a high-end kitchen with a TON of cabinets, counters, and upscale appliances. This is what a dream kitchen costs in a high-end home. This type of remodeling is for almost no one, extreme remodeling-crazed individuals only!

The pantry in the Dream kitchen is actually the integrated fridge/freezer. It isn’t in another room. The dishwasher is behind a panel on the island too.

My god.. thats too much money.. My friend owns a Villa in NC that was built for 300k.. his kitchen looked just like the last one and costed me him only 45k
Tips: Buy cabinets, appliances and countertops on your own.. you can buy decent quality for 25k.. Contractors will put his SG&A, hidden charges and 20-30% margin on top making these cost close to 40-50K.. hire contractors only for design and labor

7:59 “where is the refrigerator?” It’s an integrated fridge next to the wall oven (it’s not a pantry like he said), which means custom paneling to make the fridge blend in with the cabinetry. More than likely, it’s a subzero fridge that costs about $10k.

You were wrong about a few things and missed a few things.
The fridge is massive and its what you thought was the pantry. Its most likely a side by side standup fridge/freezer panel ready subzero model. What you thought was a baseboard drawer is actually a dust sweep attached to the central vac system.

What you missed is the panel ready dishwasher in the island, the pot filler coming out of the back of the gas range, and the fact that they have two ovens. A speed oven built in that is below the built in microwave oven, and the gas range is a full size commercial unit.
they also have a speaker in the ceiling that is connected to their home entertainment system.

I would run away from Home Love Construction if I have to hire a contractor. I just remodel my house, investigated many ways, all of them half the cost of this guy says. I live in California, expensive area. This guys is crazy, you listen to him, you will overpay your contract

How much would it be to renovate a kitchen layout with new custom cabinets, new appliances, expanding floor print, paint, hardware, etc. Not to mention electrical, & plumbing. This would be for a home worth around $1, 550, 000.

I build kitchens like your dream kitchen. Im a cabinetmaker and general contractor. Your prices are a bit on the high side. Perfection is expensive. People get all out of joint when they hear those numbers. You cant compare a custom hand built kitchen to a big box store china made crap. Thats like wanting a Ferarri for the price of a Honda. Theres all sorts of discount cabinet wholsalers out there and fly by night contractors. Cabinetmaking is a dying trade as very few have the talents to build them. Notice how that dream kitchen had no filler panels etc. Flawless. It was fully custom. You cant DIY that. 98% of carpenters cant even put that together little lone build it. If you want a masterpiece youll pay heavily. Its the way it is.

15 to 19k for the first pretty basic "Remodel"? That's crazy... What a rip off. 2nd kitchen... meh. 3rd kitchen... 120k is just overkill and probably not a great ROI

Yeah you get what you pay for. But a lot of times I've seen people paying a lot of money and getting a crappy job. I've had tons of people tell me I don't charge nowhere near enough. And that's out of customers mouths LOL. It's a doggy dog world out there I'll come to find, in the carpentry business. If you have a job that 10 Carpenters have come too and you got to underbid all them just to get the job, by the time you get the job you ain't making s***. And sometimes you just got to take a hit just to keep yourself working. I know labor cost anywhere from two to three times what the material is, but I've always found that to be a little bit greedy. Especially when you're doing lower class to middle class homes. Not everybody is lucky enough to get a kitchen from Brett Favre or Peyton Manning. Can't say it wouldn't be nice. Would cherish the opportunity to show my skills and build something wonders for someone that's an icon for so many people. Sort of makes you a bigger I, I think LOL. Guess it's nice to have a dream hahaha
