Kylie Minogue - Did It Again (Official HD Video)

Kylie worked with producers and songwriters Brothers In Rhythm on “Did It Again”, the second single from her 1997 LP “Impossible Princess”. The Usual Suspects-influenced promo video (directed by Petro Romanhi in London) features four characters Sex Kylie, Indie Kylie, Dance Kylie and Cute Kylie and won the Australian nomination for the 1998 MTV Video Awards. Costumes from the video, along with accessories spanning Minogue's career, became part of an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Australia, during May 2005.

on the surface, most probably hear a fun little pop song. however, underneath the indie/psychedelic beat is a self-introspective song about self-sabotage and fighting inner demons. this juxtaposition of dark lyrics with a cheerful instrumental is why this is my FAVORITE kylie song, totally underrated!

Hearing this song on Rage in 1997 for the first time as a 9 year old was a life-changing experience - 25 years later and I'm still OBSESSED with this queen.

You can hear the maturity and tongue-in-cheek approach in this album. And she was very aware of it, and the expectations on her as a pop artist. It's a shame that she was deemed too pretty to be taken seriously and that the media avoided this album. This came out at a time when there were lots of interesting proposals from female singer/songwriters (think of Alanis, Sarah, Meredith) but somehow pop artists were lost in the shuffle. This is definitely an outstanding, solid record that Kylie and non-Kylie fans should try to listen at least once. I wish she'd make more stuff like this but she did say that the reception that it got made her disappointed and she is not up for that experience again. I still love it. Well done on rereleasing this gem, Kylie!

Impossible Princess, the album that this single is taken from, was the first Kylie-album I've ever bought. The one with the holographic cover. It's very underrated to say the least. And I love how Kylie doesn't take herself too seriously in this video. A high class woman, artist and performer! ♥
