Knox Auto Parts is an excellent resource. Salvage yards in general you should stay away from if you can afford to buy a new crate engine. Leave me the cheap salvage yard parts please! Currently I have TWO Beemers in need of engines. One is my fault, but the other e36 has TWO ATTEMPTS, where someone wanted it.

I’m in the middle of throwing a LC9 5.3 into my c5 vette with FBO, not sure if it make more power than my stock LS1. Should I throw it in or bore it out to a 6.0 ?

Even on the other side of the tuning world and in South Africa they use 2JZ's, BMW M60 V8, 1UZ, 3UZ Lexus swaps, Nissan RB25' and RB26 swaps as well

Why are the Carcass guys rebuilding this engine instead of Pat & Frankie from Engine Power?

I’m not a die hard ls/lt fan. I’m more of a coyote/ford man myself. But, I understand the limitations of the coyote engine due to the big dohc heads. But, the LS will always be my second choice for an engine swap in anything German/asian engine swap

The LS is cheap horsepower, where's the problem with that? The Hemi and Cyoty are too big to fit in that little car. What else were they to use? My other question is, out of the 3 engines Chrysler, GM or Ford, who's engine weights the least? The least amount of weight over the front axle line is what you are after in a track car. I can think of several different engines that would make that car fly but when you get down to horsepower per dollar nothing beats the LS platform. A 500 horse 4 cylinder engine running crazy boost would be better for handling (because of the lesser weight) but that would get expensive and be less reliable.
