I mostly wear black socks, cause they actually go with everything. If you’re wearing loafers or some kind of dress shoe, white socks should not be worn. And if you do, they shouldn’t be noticeable. Wearing dress shoes and having white socks showing breaks an unspoken rule. As well as the fact that it never looks clean. There are only a few times when white socks and dress shoes are acceptable. I understand styles change with time, but the fact still remains. If you wanna look clean, don’t wear white socks with your dress pants/shoes. And of course I also understand that this is all could be taken as my opinion.

the white costco socks are where it's at. they're affordable, thick, last a long time and are comfy. also they fit snug on the calf which is great because I hate that feeling when socks start sagging. only downside is that they are on the longer side so it's not the best with shorts, but I usually just scrunch them down a little to fix that.
