I believe that the saddest moments were really the two times Steven was floating utterly helpless in space and literally accepted death. And pretty much every time Steven regressed his emotions made me wince. Like- "For just one day lets only think about love." (And then gets photobombed by the embodiment of grief and revenge) and that one episode where he doesn't tell the gems that he knew the trial thing was rigged, or how, the second Amythest asks him if he's okay Steven immediately tries to shift the topic back to her, asking Amythest if she's okay. Like- Ouch Steven you really don't have to do that dude-

5:35 in that part of the episode Pearl is blue and Greg is yellow. Since Blue Diamond was like a mother to pink, and Pearl belonged Pink Diamond. Yellow Diamond is the reasonable one, and Greg can be reasonable sometimes.

the real saddest episode is the one where they make Steven go through a trial, only for him to have to hide his true emotions to not worry the crystal gems, a literal child 😢
