Oda only deciding ju Peters design after watching dune is not true at all, he looks a lot like a worm in the reverie flashback. None of the gorosei look very similar to their current form, he simplified all the silhouettes

Ju Peter being a worm is a really good tie in to him being the god of agriculture.

if oda follows through, egghead is EASILY joining marineford and enies lobby in the top three arcs. the intro arc to the final saga being so good basically guarantees that laughtale, the final war, and elbaph are going to considerably shake up the rankings

I think Zoro didn’t use ACoC at all in the Lucci fight, ending included. For Zoro, conqueror’s isn’t something he can spam like Luffy and turn on and off. He just started learning it and it’s insanely draining on him. Instead, it’s a sword fighting form that he takes. He covers his blades in the green flame (ACoC) and that’s his King of Hell Style fighting form. Once that’s done, he’s out of stamina. It wouldn’t make sense for Zoro to bust out his last ditch, all or nothing form to beat Lucci who he had mid diff with. Now he can go a new tassel with Kizaru or the Gorosei in good form still.

I think what's interesting about Kizaru not being as fast as he should be might be a subtle tell about Kizaru not really being into his job while,
Venus actually wants to end this broadcast in urgency.
So maybe the panels depict that ?

Oda wasting precious panels with the "stalling". Ever heard of people saying Wano climax was "rushed" but also "dragging" at the same time? We'll this is it. For many pages, you got panels of people fighting and nothing is really happening. Empty fights. But then when the plot needed them to stop, suddenly you get these sudden power ups or one-shot defeats.

Its the same with "character development". Kidd literally went straight from being bitter to Luffy to wanting to stop Big Mom for Luffy. Nothing in between to make the development organic.

I think the way to hurt the Gorosei is like Brook hurt Prometeus, somehow attacking the soul directly.

Steam was coming out of Zoro’s swords when he first clashed with Lucci so it’s evident he was using CoC early on in the fight before switching to CoA

For the story to survive (at least beyond a silly manga), it needs the villains to win at points.

To establish the WG as final villains they need to do something to Luffy that rivals Akainu's fist to Ace or the like. I don't really know what that would be still.
But if the villains never win, they never become villains.

Another Theory - Saturn will turn out to be Bonney’s Father. Upon finding this out, Kizaru will finally flip and attack the Gorosei. He might kill Saturn and then die himself. Would be a great reversal, Kizaru hunting the Straw Hats, then later saving them.

lucci vs luffy, kizaru vs luffy, and lucci vs zoro all have the same energy: middle of the road fights that stall to stretch out the plot. that kizaru/sanji scene falls into the same category as well.

speaking of the last donation you read, lvl 1 of impel down is spikes and spiders, aint that literally Saturn rn? the two gorosei that have truly demonstrated their power fit into lvl 1 and 5, Imu the hidden is ofc 6.
Low key also seems like Jupiter is starving, so lets for the sake of forced parallels call him lvl 3.
