Cancer-hit Kate was treated appallingly over the Photoshop fail - here's who I blame, says expert

CANCER-stricken Princess Kate was “treated appallingly” over her Photoshop fail, according to a royal biographer.

Outspoken royal expert Tom Bower claimed to The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show that the saga was a “tragedy” and “self-inflicted wound”.

Kate’s Mother’s Day photo - released on March 10 - sparked an online frenzy after royal fans claimed the picture was edited - before photo agencies ordered a "kill notice" on the pic.

Tom claimed to The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson that the palace was at fault for the photo error, not Princess Kate.

Tom you are correct, cancer in younger people has a dreadful prognosis. I lost my daughter when she was 38. I do fear for Princess Catherine and I was horrified that she received so much humiliation. May I say I saw the photo, thought it was lovely and never even dreamed of analysing where the fingers where etc. Maybe it’s my age but then again, how disrespectful and negative to actually think of dissecting the composition. Appalling, horrible, awful, nasty, above all, pointless behaviour by the media, possibly egged on by anti-royalists and certain ex-royals.

There's a difference between editing and photoshopping and the attacks on Catherine were unfair and abusive, however, now the grifters are very restricted in their grossly photoshopped pics of bogus children.

Sometimes, I wandered into the posts of the Sussex Squads and the like, I was horrified by what I read about the Prince and Princess of Wales. At times like that, I remembered Mrs Tillman's talking about a person being divisive and prayed to God to protect William and Catherine. In this side of the pond, the public slammed Harry and Meghan as well, but nothing compared to whatever was said against William and Catherine by the Sussex supporters.

The agencies' criticism of 'that' photo was just sour grapes as it was not taken 'under their contro' so they could not profit from it. Had it, or something similar, been produced by 'one of their own, ' they would have owned the copyright and able to make money from it.
Catherine is an extremely talented A Grade amateur photographer and can give any professional a run for their money. The criticism of her photoshop work was extremely finicky, the image had been examined in minute detail to find any, however minor an error; they could. I have seen worse examples of professional work which have not been criticised by the agencies. I am sure it was a fit of picque and professional jealousy.

Not a photoshop fail. It was a major win. Due to how horribly Kate was treated while MIA, at this point, she is free to take as much time off as she wants, with full public support. And the public is allowing her time and privacy. And going forward, a precedent has been sent regarding privacy. The RF took a long view. They did not capitulate to the public demand for information. They knew all would be forgiven when her diagnosis came out. I believe the future of the Monarchy will be William, Catherine and George. Dramatically reduce public spending on the RF. Charlotte and Louis will be private citizens. Monarch will not be head of Commonwealth Realm. Focus will be on UK.
