They really under used him in this movie... just like cyclops lol. Havoc from First Class had the most screen time out of any energy based mutant imo. Don't know why energy based mutants are not used to their full capabilities in these xmen movies. Deadpool actually used their energy mutants pretty good.

God this movie needs a sequel so bad it works great as a stand-alone but the young actors did a decent job and producers really captured what they were trying to capture it’s a truly under appreciated film

If you read the comics about cannonball in the New mutants he is actually an immortal no one knew it until it was revealed if I'm not mistaken it's been awhile since I read about him

Sam's the only one who's powers never quite looked right, IMO. We should have seen Charlie Heaton while he's in flight, doing the flying poses, but all we get is Sam grimacing for a few seconds and then PSHEW the sfx take over.
