As a retired professional mechanic I commend you for taking the time to pass on your knowledge. The amount of negativity you get sometimes is nothing but ridiculous. We all started repairing cars with the same amount of knowledge. None. It takes time to learn certain things. Not everyone owns every fancy new tool so you have to make do with what you have. There's no right or wrong way to do things, as long as it gets done. When I started my apprenticeship back in the 80s my mentor told me something that has stuck with me all these years.
"First you get good. Then you get fast."
Those are words to live by.

Another tip is if you're working on exhaust bolts is to get the engine up to normal operating temp then break them loose, or heat with a torch.

Stubby sockets work great if you got clearance use 6 point wrench. But all good

Quite a good technique. You can also get a set of single hexagon (6 point) spanners, these come in very handy

The knowledge this guy has at his age is impressive. There’s a saying in the shop “you either got it or you don’t”. The ones that don’t have it get stuck in the express lane as a lube tech and never advance.
