Lord of the Rings. Fellowship of the Ring Extended HD 1080p Xvid AC3. Watch in 1080p fullscreen, enjoy. Medivh.

The Enemy knows you have entered here. What hope you had in secrecy is now gone.
Eight there are here, yet nine there were, set out from Rivendell. Tell me, where is Gandalf? For I much desire to speak with him.I can no longer see him from afar
Gandalf the Grey did not pass the borders of this land. He has fallen into shadow.
He was taken by both Shadow and Flame: a Balrog of Morgoth. For we went needlessly into the net of Moria.
Needless were none of the deeds of Gandalf in life. We do not yet know his whole purpose.
Do not let the great emptiness of Khazad-dum fill your heart, Gimli, son of Gloin.
For the world has grown full of peril. And in all lands, love is now mingled with grief.
What now becomes of this Fellowship? Without Gandalf, hope is lost.
The quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little and it will fail to the ruin of all.
Yet hope remains while the company is true.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Go now and rest for you are weary with sorrow and much toil. Tonight you will sleep in peace.
Welcome, Frodo of the Shire, one who has seen the Eye!

I love how Galadriel looked at Samwise as she said "yet hope remains while the company is true." She looked in Samwise's heart and saw he would never betray Frodo. Sam is the unsung hero of the story. Frodo would never have succeeded without him.

One does not simply look into the eyes of Galadriel.

This scene was a transcendental experience in the cinema the first time I saw it. This scene happened not long after Gandalf's death. I had never read the books. I had no idea Gandalf was coming back. It was as if his power and wisdom hadn't been enough to support the quest and some had to take his place, the fate of Frodo's journey with the ring had to be guided by someone else, someone more powerful - Galadriel.

I watched them climb the stairs around the trunk of the tree towards Galadriel's home - it looked like a church that had grown naturally out of the forest. And then she stepped down the stairs, from above, from the light, enrobed in it. There was this air about her of "So... I must involve myself in the affairs of the material Universe, it seems. How does one do this? It has been so long. Ah, yes, speech, I talk now. That is what happens. Hm. Let me see. Words. How do they work? Ah, I remember... yes, I remember..." It was breathtaking. It was a lot to do with the point in the story in which she emerged, but my goodness it worked. The need to destroy the ring stopped being a matter of survival and urgency and took on this sense of something beyond, of divine purpose. As if the purpose of the entire world was for evil to be confronted and destroyed, and she was the only person who fully understood this.

I was enraptured. It was more like being in a magic spell than watching a movie in a cinema. It was like God was talking.

Gimli - emptiness
Boromir - despair
Aragorn - lost
Frodo - failure
Sam - hope

The stare that Galadriel gives Boromir is tremendous. She see's what he will do to Frodo.

they used christmas lights to reflect in galadriel's eyes to make them look different from anyone else's eyes, because she had seen the light from the two trees of valinor and well, because she is super ancient and her eyes would reflect that. i find that's such a cool idea. you can really see that in her eyes when you know.

Fun Fact: Ian McKellen and Cate Blanchett became so close during the filming of the LOTR films that Peter Jackson joked that Sir Ian should go back into the closet and marry her.

"He has fallen into shadow..."
Husband: "Can you please stop doing that??? I was asking them!"
Galadriel: "Then learn how to mind read. At least then you'd be good at something."

Galadriel, One of the last of the Noldor elves left on Middle Earth. She is considered to be the most powerful elf in Middle earth and one of the oldest. I think 7-10, 000 years old. Galadriel is the ring bearer of Nenya, It is said that Lothlorian cannot be destroyed unless Sauron himself comes to visi because galadriel gaurds the forest

And they say that Brad and Angelina are the hottest couple ever? Galadriel and Celeborn have the beauty of 1, 000 stars <3.

I wish they had used Celeborn more in the lotr and hobbit movies.

Galadriel was always the most scary character of the trilogy. Forget Golum, the orcs, the Barlock, Sauron, giant spiders, or Bilbo's meth face. She is the one that always gave me the creeps.

When Legolas mentions "of Shadow and Flame"... Galadriel face is just wow... She knows in advance what Legolas is about to say next...the terrible Balrogs thanks to whom she literally lost family members, and Morgoth killed all of her relatives directly or indirectly. All of her brothers, cousins, uncles, friends, her half-uncle and half-cousins were all of them killed by Morgoth actions, either by Morgoth himself, Sauron or the Balrogs and the Orcs. You really can feel her grief.

Coming back and watching this scene after Rings of this is SO much better. It is like the elves aren't just actors with pointy ears glued on. The way they speak, their presence, even walking in to meet Galadriel and Celeborn was like walking into another world. The scenes had time to breathe, the score was haunting. ALL things completely missing from ROP.

The music is so eiry and surreal in this scene and the movie overall, there will never be a trilogy as good as Lotr

I imagine meeting Cate Blanchett in person is a very similar experience

"Do not let the great emptiness of Khazad-dum fill your heart, Gimli son of Gloin, for the world has grown full of peril, and in all lands, love is now mingled with grief".
Only now do I realize how much that meant to Gimli, because one of the things about dwarves is that, just like hobbits, they are deeply tied to their homes, their kin, and Galadriel is telling Gimli to have courage, to keep fighting on, for there are people like him who have lost their homes and families to the war. Not only that, it's one of the kindest things an Elf has ever said to him.

Martin Csokas and Cate Blanchet are BY FAR the best elves in all lotr and hobbit movies. Their appearance, the way they speak, Martin's elvish accent and the distant look in his eyes. God they are perfect. Weaving and Bloom are awesome too but Celeborn and Galadriel are just on another level. The ARE elves.

If you were Celeborn you'd really have to hold it down to survive...  You'd have a wife 1000x more powerful than you that can read your mind and you couldn't even think about looking at another elf or she'd have your balls.
