A tip for new users. I bought this for use in my raised garden pond with a viewing window. First it was tested in a bath and the sub sank to the bottom and the hover up function was not powerful enough to lift the unit off the bottom. I had used eneloop pro rechargeable AA batteries which were too heavy. When replaced with standard (non rechargeable) batteries the sub worked perfectly. When weighed on scales the rechargeable batteries were 50% heavier than the standard batteries - hence the problem. Roy
