The Saturn - Neptune Conjunction in Aries: A New 165 Year Cycle Begins - 2025 & 2026 Astrology

Saturn and Neptune will meet up through 2 exact conjunctions in Aries, creating a new synodic cycle that may feel confusing and odd since these planets have very different expressions. Neptune represents idealism, compassion, service, spirituality, and detachment, while Saturn is the Real World, responsibilities, commitments, practical matters, and the physical experience of life. The most interesting connections of the Saturn-Neptune pair are associated with the fact that new ripened forces (and old hopes) are entering the world stage with the simultaneous opening of the “purulent abscesses” of their predecessors/opponents. Some important facts of life seem to no longer want to remain in isolation/underground and want to loudly declare themselves. In its most general form, this can be seen in the ideas of the Age of Enlightenment (after the conjunction in Capricorn in 1667) and the era of Romanticism (after the conjunction in Sagittarius in 1809). Today we can talk about a new era of Globalization (not an imperial, not a corporate, but an information technology approach), which conventionally began with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn in 1989. This applies not only to politics, when the reputation of the formal head of some branch of government (monarchy, church, party) can be compromised and there is a threat of his “plunging into the shadows” (the death of the ruler or a new favorite is possible). This cycle has a connection with scientific achievements (microbiology, biotechnology, chemistry, mathematics, optics), which seem to encroach on the usual picture of the world and pull the rug out from under the feet of official science and/or orthodox clergy. Separately, it is necessary to say about the connection of this cycle with the occult sciences (spiritualism, physiognomy, mesmerism), which acted as an alternative direction for the development of knowledge about human nature. On the other hand, one can see correlations with abnormal weather phenomena (storms, floods, magnetic storms) and environmental pollution.
The last few cycles turned out to be particularly connected with the history of Russia due to the ideology of class struggle (Marxism). The earlier ones reflected friction between two other leading ideologies (conservatism and liberalism) based on religious beliefs. Events can provoke an acute confrontation between different strata of society, in which power control over the lower classes/provinces (whose needs were ignored) is lost, dangerous riots and revolutionary upheavals arise. At the time of connections, major miscalculations were made in political matters and pseudoscientific ideas gained temporary popularity. Significant territorial redistributions of states took place. Look at events under the influence of various signs (their rulers and exaltants). The most incredible, or better yet shocking things happened in Leo, the sign of the worst compatibility with the principles of the planets. Particularly contradictory is the fact that at the same time the most important scientific theory of our time, Einstein’s general relativity, appeared, while “pseudo-scientific” spiritualism gained popularity at the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aquarius. It is also important to pay attention to the connection of compounds with the eras of the Renaissance, Enlightenment, Romanticism and now Globalization (I did not see this in the works of other authors).
