📼Video Summary:
The Poppin' Pals toy is a kids toy that's common here in the United States. There are several variations of made by different brands - the one in this video is from playskool. There 5 different ways to open the doors - there's a slider, switch, button, turn key, and another switch. The doors open by a torsion spring. A small lever normally holds each door but. Each of the five mechanisms press down the lever which allows the door to open. If the squeaker gets annoying you can actually remove it and the toy will work just fine. This toy is fun to take apart but can be difficult to put back together!

I think frequently about the fact that for almost every product created, there's at least one person who had to think about the design.
I bet the people that made this toy would be happy to know that their work doesn't go unappreciated, even if it's just a kids toy.

What a great video!! It's funny how nowadays you see something random and it's like hmmm... that would make a pretty good YouTube video.

Thank u this must have taken tons of hours to render! Imagine if they taught engineering classes or anything with that matter with this amount of visual representation and payed someone to make high quality blender renders like these for learning everything. Learning would be so much easier for visual learners it would be amazing

Wow, excellent work as always Jared! Love the pacing of your audio and animation. Just super easy to follow and makes it pleasant to watch. I'm also very amazed at your modeling skills with these little pieces. Also, the fact that you've released 4 videos in the time that I'm still working on the same one says a lot. I'm having some serious imposter syndrome. Just super slow at what I do :( Anyway, keep up the fantastic work man. You're very very talented!

it is absolutely amazing that I mastered these 5 distinct actuators without ever having seen or played with this toy

I watched anyway because I love how you explain things and fully enjoy watching your animations, but I already figured out how these toys work thanks to my older nephew.
When he was a toddler, he had a toy very similar to this one but two of the doors wouldn't pop up all of a sudden and no one could figure out why, so (after my sister bought a new one for him), I took it apart and found a bunch of raisins under the two levers of the doors that wouldn't open. When she asked him about it, he told her that he didn't want the animals to get hungry, so he would put the raisins on the platforms while the doors were open, then would push the doors closed, which of course dropped the raising to the bottom of the toy's interior where they accumulated under the two levers.
Thanks for helping me remember that, thinking about it while I typed it out made me smile.

Thank you! 16 yrs ago, Emma put a Disney fairy inside of it. Pulled it out with tweezers. Today, Cameron put a checker piece in it. I attempted to take it apart, but oh....I ruined it. Thank you for this! Instructions were wonderful. We can use it again! ❤
