Interesting that appendicitis is used as the malady treated in this"'physical reductionist" paradigm. And it is. But It could be argued that over-indulgence (gluttony) along with lack of movement (lazy) which are both psychological lead to the overwhelmed appendix and therefore requiring a surgical removal. Could the body heal if these patients were taught that the problem could be healed by changing their behaviors? Perhaps in some individuals? Many not. I am still exploring self healing mechanisms with my patients regarding joint and muscle pains and most can heal without surgical or medical interventions if they are "patient" not "patients" and learn to use fasting and movement pattern analysis to help their bodies self heal.
