Only thing "missing": an auto-placement tool. What i mean is, if I want to place a roof and I don't want to pass 5 minutes adjusting it's angle, the auto-placement tool would do it automatically. The roof would "stick" to the selected (sur)face of a chosen part.

sorry to bring up an old post, but anyway, making your own object is an entirely different thing that no fps game actually has built in. The cool thing about the overgrowth editor is that you can use the very basic objects it comes with can be rotated, scaled, translated can really make anything. I've made a catapult, a crossbow, a spear, a whole lot of stuff literally out of a rock object and a wooden post object

Nice looking editor and yes, I have to agree, the music (uhh... not counting the beatbox ;) ) you guys are using is fantastic. If the tunes are made from scratch megakudos to the talented arranger. If store bought still a very suitable and dramatic selection.

very impressive! the features of the map editor appear to be very easy to use and well thought out. one thing i was wondering about is will the editor will feature any kind of terrain editing?

when i edit a map and save it, where does that file end up? just spent hours on building a story and it may all be gone if i can't find this file. i edited one of the main maps and then saved it.

A question: i noticed that scaling the brushes also scales the texture, i'm used to see that texture tiles in the majority of engines.
Is the tiling an option or the engine doesn't support it? If not, can you explain me the reason of the decision you made?

Well, start by trying the demo of lugaru so you can see the predecessor of Overgrowth :)
AND there is no official release date BUT if you preorder you get access to the alpha version, which means you can directly follow the development of the game and actually try every new feature before everybody else :D
And this video IS the alpha version, so you can start making your own levels, and if they're awesome they might even be featured in the main game! Or so they say :3

@gingerboy231 if you preorder overgrowth you can play the latest versions of the alpha and it's basicly a map editor with fighting at the moment
