This video is an updated version of the December 10, 2020, presentation, “History of Focused Ultrasound,” by Professor Gail ter Haar, PhD, of the Institute of Cancer Research, London. The original webinar was part of the International Society of Therapeutic Ultrasound’s “ISTU On-Air” series. This version includes an introduction by Focused Ultrasound Foundation chairman, Neal F. Kassell, MD. Christy Holland, PhD, of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, then provides an overview of Professor ter Haar's many accomplishments during her illustrious career, followed Gail's fascinating history of the therapeutic applications of focused ultrasound – many of which she witnessed firsthand.

Thank you so much. Very informative. I would be interested in finding out about advances of Focused Ultrasound in treatment of Parkinson's tremors. Pointing me out to recent research would be gratefully welcomed!

Can you make a video about the procedures involved for getting the crown device affixed to your heard, that keeps your head still? It seems like your videos just dance around this topic, which can be an off-putting eventuality, but I think talking about it directly instead of just tiptoeing around it would help tremendously boost confidence in it. Perhaps have interviews with people who have had it affixed, about their experiences with it.
