How Dmedia uses Avahi for local CouchDB replication

For a while Dmedia has had support for P2P CouchDB replication among your other devices on the same local network. Currently this is disabled by default for privacy reasons, but this will change when we add SSL support (probably in Dmedia 12.09).

Here's the Python3 code we use to publish and discover peers via the Avahi DBus API:

John, it's an Asus Eee PC 1005HAB. Slow, single core Atom, 1GB of RAM. Works great with Ubuntu, but it's just a really, really slow piece of hardware. We bought it used for $100 (I think they were just over $200 new). But it's been great for testing Avahi stuff... it's hard to test Avahi well without real hardware, a real network.

John, oh, the screencast was done on my beefy workstation. I don't think the netbook could manage that :)
