Darksiders Genesis is an action/adventure that tears its way through hordes of demons, angels, and everything in-between on its way to Hell and back with guns blazing and swords swinging. Genesis gives players their first look at the world of Darksiders before the events of the original game, as well as introduces the Horseman Strife. Still reeling from the events on Eden, War and Strife have been given a new assignment — Lucifer, the enigmatic and deceptive demon king, has been plotting to upset the Balance by granting power to master demons throughout Hell. War and Strife must hunt down these masters, gather information, and ultimately fight their way through a tangled, demonic conspiracy that threatens to forever upset the Balance and unravel all of creation.

I know a lot of peeps are excited about Strife but seeing War again after almost 10 years after the first release is extremely satisfying.

I like how this shows that Lucifer plans 20 steps ahead and has backup plans on backup plans, letting his enimies do the work for him while he sits and enjoys a nice cup of blood red wine. And that scene with Belial, sent chills down the spine.

Especially when he's just doing his Illidan voice.

Did you notice that *Samael'* s voice actor is so cool he just keep ignoring the subtitles?
He cut/change some parts, he talks so slow that they don't match.

Funny how even in the final scene you can tell how much Abbadon hates Samael. It's no small wonder Abbadon imprisoned him when he turned to the shadows as the Destroyer.

It's got me Scratching the back of my head, too. In DS1 it was stated that Eden was already destroyed.
But If it's any consolation, there's a tiny bit of detail that they didn't retcon. Before the DS1 Abaddon still had his two eyes. In a book called the Abomination Vault, starring War and Death, Abaddon lost his eye due to an enemy wielding a weapon so powerful ( or events that were similar )that not even the most skilled Angel Healers could recuperate the wound dealt to Abaddon.

Something tells me Lucifer's appearence resembles that of an Dark Angel with black or red wings.
Based on his voice, he sounds more humanoid than most demons in the games.

My thoughts are about this game are few.
1. I almost feel sorry for Belial for facing such cruel fate in the dark hands of Lucifer.
2. The horseman's kin do not deserve to be controlled like puppet's like that in Eden 😔
3. War & Strife did their best to try and stop Lucifer from starting the corruption of man.
4. Hearing what Lucifer said to War & Strife was very unsettling 👿
