Down the rabbit hole is correct. Many years ago I had a bucket, sponge, chamois and car soap - that was it! Fast forward 30 years (yes I’m ancient) and I have 60-70 different microfibre towels, wash pads, wash mitts, smittens, 6 different drying towels, a vehicle blower, QD’s, spray waxes, spray sealants, paste waxes, soaps, pre washes and APC’s, foams, 4 buckets, Karcher jetwash, 2 Rupes polishers, a rotary, numerous pads, compounds, polishes, all in ones, at least 20 different brushes - the list goes on, I need a bigger garage! But I do have two very shiny cars.

These apply to pretty much any method...good to see a nice "basics" video. As a condo dweller who really only has a one-bucket-wash option, this pretty much covers me and others in my situation.

1- Large bucket
2- Appropriate soup
3- Wash media - microfiber cloth, wash sponge etc
4- Brush
5- Detail Spray + for extra lubricity and shine
6- Drying towl
