"Nepal Qualifies for Asia Cup 2023"

Kathmandu, May 2

Nepal has qualified for the Asia Cup 2023 after a comfortable 7-wicket victory against the UAE in the final of the Ace Men's Premier Cup held in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Nepal won the toss and chose to bowl first. Due to the rain, the match was played over two days. UAE set a target of 118 runs in 33.1 overs in the match. Nepal chased down the target in 30.3 overs, losing only 3 wickets. Nepal's Gulshan Jha scored an unbeaten 67 runs off 84 balls. Earlier, Nepal's Lalit Rajbanshi completed four wickets, followed by Karan and Sandeep with two wickets each.

Nepal will join India and Pakistan in the six-team Asia Cup final scheduled for September in Pakistan.
