I know command "set context persistent“ is To prevent shadow copies from being deleted when you exit DiskShadow, but Why type in at 26:52?

While shadow copy running is there any performance issues we will face?

An error comes while setup VSS shadow copy, i.e., " Error 0x80042306: The shadow copy provider had an error". I searched this error in Google, and I got the result " This error occurs when the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) is unable to run due to another snapshot management provider being installed on the system.". But I haven't installed any other program for backup.

Hi, Excelent Explanation, Some questions:
- Is the Restore Point ( System Protection Feature) considered as a VSS Requester ?
- When a shadow copy is taken, does it interrogate every VSS Writer on the system even though i want the shadow copy for file share previous version need ?
- Can a shadow copy taken from the Restore Point Tab be use by another application, say for example the previous version tab of file/folderr ?
- Storage location of shadow copies, is it the same for all the VSS requesters or we can have for example a location for the restore point feature, and another storage location for shadow copies made frome a back-up application ?
