It's like a variation on Recettear, and I LOVED Recettear! Super excited for this game

If Recettear was a pixel art indie game instead of an anime indie game

"Later in the year".... oh.... I've been waiting to play this game for quite some time now.

The art style has a lot of character and the combat is decent enough, but my initial impression is that the game seems to be lacking in virtually every other aspect. It bears a lot of similarities to Recettear, except Recettear does everything better; the shopkeeping is much more interactive, the NPCs and shoppers have so much more personality and even the dungeon crawling is better than this. I mean, the dungeon crawling of this is literally a straight copy/paste of the dungeon crawling from the original Legend of Zelda. I am a fan of the retro 2D art style—it's quite nostalgic for me—but I don't really understand why Indie developers keep building their games, mechanically, as if we are still bound to the limitations of the NES. All that being said, I am a big fan of Recettear, so there's probably a bit of bias there, and this game apparently has quite a bit of development time left, so I'll reserve any hard judgment until it releases.

Absolutely love devs who push through the grind of pixelated games. True heroes of gaming keeping tradition alive. Good stuff keep up the awesome work!

man i am SO into this. looks like a gungeon/isaac kinda thing with some Shoppe Keep in there. i really like the Shoppe Keep concept and it always felt kinda clumsy but this looks polished as hell

Some great gameplay, and a successful video in that I definitely want to check out Moonlighter! The developer's mic is very low, though! I have a hard time hearing him. Super cool concept, and I'd love to see more interviews w/Indie developers!

I would like several audio books by the game maker. Such a charming straightforward voice.

Yep. This game is totally "The Hidden" from 2007.

Was this a beta version? There was definitely some things different in this than in the normal game.

I am pretty sure this game was inspired by "The Binding of Isaac Wrath of the Lamb"

This is pretty heavily "influenced" by Recettear at best...
