People are getting defensive here when Larry Holmes is actually paying the Greatest a great compliment. These guys loved Ali :)

Joe Frazier's poem about professional boxing: "Your brain will get shook; your money will get took; and you'll end up in the undertaker's book". For him & so many fighters, so sad, but true.

Larry is actually giving Ali a compliment. He's saying Ali didn't train and won, imagine what he could have done if he trained.

I wrote in a earlier comment that Larry Holmes was not a nice man , in some tv interview's he is arrogant and obnoxious, even obtused ! Using foul language on people, even using bullying tactics, not the way a heavyweight champion of the world should act, but saying all this in hindsight ( not but now watching all his recent stuff ) I stand corrected, Larry lovely Holmes as change and a good change, the way he is with Ali, like a son looking after his father, my own dad died of Parkinson's a couple of years, every time he got up ! 95 % of the time he would collapse, I was always behind him keeping my arms round him, making sure he was steady, watching Larry do this with obvious affection for Ali, I don't find it awkward at all, Larry must have some experience around people with Parkinson's disease, my experience, tells me he has, so I apologise to Larry and wish him and all his family the lord blessing x
All great fighters, I feel bless to have been around to watched them all fight, heavyweights I will no doubt never see in my lifetime again x

The more of these videos I watch, the more and more respect I gain for Frazier. He seems like a genuinely humble and friendly person.

The Great Larry Holmes who followed the Greatest class of heavyweight in the last of the 20th century. Was saying the GREATEST trained during his camp. But the last two weeks was when he put in his most serious work in. He had more insight on Ali, than any fighter he fought. But also the point being made if Ali trained his hardest his entire camp. He would've wowed us more. Frightening to me the more I think about it.

Nice to see them all together.
Ali was a reservoir of patience, just a few seconds of Larry Holmes awkwardness would have gotten me pissed off. Larry, just be thankful you weren't born earlier.

Looking at Ali's physical state here in 1989 it's amazing he reached 2016. Always but always the heart of a lion! RIP GOAT 🙏
