I have 3 kids in their mid 20s and most of their well educated friends are leaving this country on a daily basis. The ones who graduated from schools like fatima and cic and went abroad to aquire degrees came back all gungho to put their knowledge to work couldnt find work, or became victims of crime and flew right back out of the country. The government boasts about free education for the public but after we graduate with degrees, there is no jobs. Now our young, vibrant citizens who has all of these dreams and energy migrates to other countries which benifits most from Trini tax payers sweat which put these students through free schooling. We are educating people and shipping them out to other countries for other countries benifits. What are we left with? The ones who's dreams is to own a military grade weapon. We are left here to live with crap.

No doubt, Mr. Alexander is a very bright guy & he does ask some relevant questions. In my view, he is correct in asking for structural change in some of major d systems in Trinidad, notably the Judiciary. Fire the inept judges, bring in new younger blood who genuinely cares & wants 2 see a more timely & functioning judiciary because as the old cliche says; Justice delayed is definitely justice denied. The apathy of d voting public is abysmal & until people start to realize that voting along racial lines, may feel like they r protecting their self interests, but nothing could be further from the truth, as the country has already reached "failed state status". As Mr. Bharrat correctly made d analogy of d Dog/floor nail, people in general haven't reached the end of their rope yet. I believe it will take the young people 15-35 yrs to start the revolution to get the older generation who r 2 entrenched in their lazy & comfortable ways before they would act. But every society has their breaking point & as horrible a situation as TNT is in right now, the general population is not feeling the desperation yet to want to act.

Mandatory selective services from 13 to 30 where the individuals will be integrated into units that are similiar to the US army corp of engineers. Youth camps and trade schools, where funding and start up money is given to the graduates to start business. Land to agriculture graduates and funding
Special farmers markets and locally made product markets. Close the borders like Nigeria did in 2019 and Germany did in the 1900. Globalization is the new colonization.

Come on guys. It is time YOU ALL, the politicians put race aside and think COUNTRY. The good ones, put country first. Trinidad DESPERATELY needs fixing. Dont you all as politicians see what is happenning around the world? There is no where to run for betterment. Most countries are on the verge of collaspe. Lets fix what we have guys. We are small. Its not hard to do. You all just need to take the bull by the horn. Start from the top, the head and the tail will fall in place.
