I'm from Mexico, and if I had to describe the film with just one word, it'd be: MASTERPIECE. Gorgeously animated, touching, emotional, well written, the music is fantastic, the portrayal of Mexican culture is done just brilliantly and the main characters are adorable (specially Miguel). I must admit I had low expectations when the first trailers came out, since you know, foreign cultures have never been Hollywood's thing, and this could've easily gone the wrong way, but it didn't, Pixar really proved me wrong with such a beautiful film.

Its the sweetest most heart warming movie Pixar has ever made. For once you cry in a Pixar film not because it’s sad, but because it’s so purely beautiful you can’t resist.

I live close to the US/Mex border and went to mexico to watch the movie with my family. everybody loved it especially my father. my father rarely likes animated movies, but he LOVED coco. both my parents especially liked the message of the movie. I got emotional seeing this movie, it made me so proud to be of Mexican ancestry. you can notice the love that went to making this movie. The Music especially!!!! Pixar did a wonderful job!!! I'm tearing up just remembering.

"Because in a weird Pixar twist, all the characters are already dead!" - whenever Grace's standup talents shine through its great.

GRACE!! I have already seen this movie!! I’m from Mexico and I went into this movie expecting nothing (i was one of those people who were upset about the whole Dia de Muertos trademark drama) and I was outstanded by it!! Not in any second did i think this movie was american-made because it showed such a mexican white humor and such good vibes that i enjoyed it every minute, i have seen nothing wrong with it and everyone i know has seen it at least twice. This last trailer for the american public certainly is waaay diffrent as to how they advertised the movie over here, i still am very confused as to why americans shy away from this because of the skeletons, it may be we mexicans are already very used to them. I cannot recommend this movie enough, even with the beef I had with it in the beginning, but the Oscar already has a name on it and that is Coco!! Very excited to see your review when you have seen it and I really hope you enjoy it!!

This movie was beautiful! Made me cry from just looking at the visuals. The simple things like having the piñatas resemble other Disney movies was so nice (in Mexico we have so many Disney piñatas). So many Mexican iconic heroes portrayed in the film. The family theme hits home and the music is phenomenal. Grace, the music is beautiful "remember me" could also give this movie an oscar. The story is just amazing I loved it so much. Can't wait to see it in English!

Hey all my american people!!
I have seen Coco and it is a beautiful and heart warming flim. Trust me you'll laugh, cry, and tap your feet to the amazing music of Coco. ( I am not of Spanish descent.) I have family that works for Disney, so I got to see this movie early.

Hey grace! Viewer from Mexico here! Just wanna say, the movie is PHENOMENAL, I admit I had low expectations coming into the theater, but Pixar proved me SO wrong, this film is SO SO beautiful, I’ve seen it twice already and I’ve cried my eyes out both times! It really is such a magnificent movie all around, from the visuals, to the story, to the music. However I do have to admit the trailers don’t make it justice and I wish they had gotten their ad campaign right as well, but other than that It’s amazing! Pretty sure you’ll love it!

I live in México and I ve seen the movie twice, its so amazing it really warms your heart, not only because I really like Dia de los muertos, but its just amazing, the work Pixar did its terrific, please people stop making comparations with The book of life, the plot its totally different. Coco is a much more rich story, I just wanna say that Ive never cry during a Pixar movie, felt bad and touch by it totally, but with Coco I change, I cried so much but felt joy at the same time.

I'm interested by the plot, I hope this inspires other movie studios to make movies about other holidays across the world

I'm from Mexico, and I watched it two times this weekend. Both days the movie theater was full of ADULTS going to watch the movie! You would see more adults than kids! And showings were sold out by around 4 pm all throughout the weekend. I had never seen this with any animated movie. There's even a joke now that if you didn't cry at the end, you should be put on an altar because you're already dead inside. 😂😂 And the soundtrack is amazing! At least in Spanish

I'll say it this way: Moana doesn't care about you learning from the culture, same with Brother Bear, Mulan, Ratatoille...etc They are "EPCOT-friendly"

Coco is not, this is as pure of actual culture you are gonna get from Disney. And it's great.
